Carine Mansan (b. 1988, born in Côte dIvoire) is sculptor and painter who lives and works in Grand Bassam in Ivory Coast. Born to an Ivorian mother and a French father, she grew up lulled by two cultures. In the Ivory Coast, she spent most of her childhood and adolescence before continuing her studies in France and Montreal.
After obtaining a diploma in Interior design at the Ecole de Condé in Paris and then at the University of Montreal, she devoted herself entirely to painting and drawing. She began exhibiting her works in Montreal in 2015. Over the years, she has participated in numerous cultural events at other international venues. Her works are in reputable private collections around the world. Today Mansans work is about the feminine image; it is figurative, covering sculpture and realist paintings of portraits and everyday life. She is currently our first Ivory Coast Visiting Fellow at the Noldor Residency for the 2021 year.
