Thando Salman (b. 1997, Johannesburg) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Kempton Park. His work explores the lived realities of Black youth in South Africa, particularly young men, through themes of identity and contemporary existence. A Fine Arts graduate from the University of the Witwatersrand and recipient of the Anya Millman Scholarship for Artistic Excellence, Salman also received the 2021 SAFFCA Entabeni Residency. He has exhibited locally and internationally, including at FNB Art Fair, Latitudes Art Fair (solo with BKhz Gallery), and UTA Artist Space in Atlanta.
