Sandile Cyprian Ndabukelwayo is a multidisciplinary artist born in Alexandra, Johannesburg. A 2024 graduate of Artist Proof Studio, where he specialized in printmaking. Ndabukelwayo's formative years, marked by frequent relocations, have profoundly shaped his artistic approach and led him to explore a diverse range of mediums.
His work intricately explores the connection between space, body and soul, blending traditional cultural elements with contemporary themes.
Ndabukelwayo's art has gained significant recognition, featuring in international exhibitions at venues such as George Mason University, and Portland Japanese Garden, as well as locally at the University of Johannesburg’s FADA Gallery. His work is held in the collection of notable figures like Steve Bloom, CEO of Portland Japanese Garden, and he recently collaborated on a project with Thamsanga Mfuphi. In 2024. he was a participant in the prestigious RMB Talent Unlocked mentorship programme and showed his work in the Bodies exhibition. He is currently completing an internship at APS.
