Sipho Radebe’s mixed-media collages explore memory, identity, and cultural
inheritance. Working with traditional fabrics such as Umbhaco and Shwe Shwe, she
layers acetone transfers and archival images to create tactile meditations on grief and continuity. Drawing from AmaHlubi, isiXhosa, and Swati heritage, her series Sunshine (2024) reflects on loss and renewal following the passing of her grandfather. Radebe holds a Fine Arts degree from the University of Cape Town and has interned at Circle Art Gallery in Nairobi and AVA Gallery in Cape Town. Her work reimagines belonging as an evolving dialogue between past and present.
