Kwandiwa Dlwati, 30, lives and practises fine arts in Johannesburg, specialising in drawing, painting and collage. He studied art and design at Motheo TVET College in Bloemfontein and was a finalist in the New Breed Art Competition in 2022, winning a merit award. Thereafter he completed a one-year programme at the Artist Proof Studio, which selected him as a William Kentridge student funding bursary recipient.
In 2023 he was selected as one of the artists to participate in the Open Studios Joburg event. In 2024, Dlwati won the bronze prize awarded at the Umsizi noPende exhibition held at Springs Art Gallery and was part of the RMB Talent Unlocked 2024 exhibition at the Art & About gallery.
