Falida Nkomo (b.2002), is a south African multidisciplinary artist. A graduate of Fine Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand; Nkomo employs a range of artistic mediums, including printmaking, drawing, collage, and painting, to engage with themes of cultural identity, migration, and belonging. Familial history, particularly her family’s migration journey from Malawi, significantly informs her artistic practice.
She explores migration as both a physical journey and an emotional experience, highlighting hybridity as an "in-between space" shaped by differences among cultures.
