Kimberley Bednall, born in Cape Town, studied Interior Design at CPUT before pursuing Set Design at RADA in London. Returning home, she continues to draw inspiration from the vibrancy of South Africa and the beauty of Cape Town’s landscapes.
While earlier works explored the shifting hues of the coastline, her current series turns inland, capturing the rocky hills and delicate resilience of fynbos. Working with charcoal and chalk pastel on 300gsm paper, each piece is mounted over neutral linen with a shadow gap and framed in a white bevelled box, emphasising texture, movement, and a profound sense of place.
