Brendan Body
Born Johannesburg, South Africa 1975, currently lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa.
Brendan Body’s is primarily a painter and works mainly in acrylic as his chosen medium. Being a graphic designer by trade, his works are extremely illustrative in nature taking inspiration from 80’s skateboard graphics, conspiracy theories and historical timelines of culture as well as vivid memories of his own life.
He draws inspiration from Postmodern artists including Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, Basquiat and Roy Lichtenstein as well as the cubist movement.
