Josephine Ghesa (b. 1958, Lesotho) is a celebrated South African ceramic artist known for her distinctive zoomorphic sculptures that merge traditional Sotho narratives with contemporary ceramic techniques. Raised by her grandmother in Lesotho, Ghesa learned pottery at an early age.

In 1990, she joined the Ardmore Ceramic Studio in KwaZulu-Natal, where she developed her unique style. Her works often depict mythical creatures and figures, reflecting her rich cultural heritage and spiritual beliefs. Ghesa's pieces are characterized by their vibrant colors, intricate textures, and imaginative forms, making her one of the most recognized artists in the South African ceramic art scene.
