Kat Love Sit is a Johannesburg- and Cape Town–based multidisciplinary artist born in Pretoria. His work navigates the fractured terrain between the human body, urban space, and systems of power. Trained initially in accounting, Sit’s early exposure to the rigid logics of finance and institutional control continues to shape his artistic language, though in deliberate opposition. His practice emerges as both critique and rupture, interrogating capitalism through bold statements, distortion and fragmentation.
Rejecting the neutrality often associated with his former profession, Sit embraces art as a site of confrontation and reconstruction. His practice does not seek to resolve tension but to expose it, inviting viewers into a space where meaning is unstable and systems can be dismantled, reworked, or entirely undone.
