I'm an East Rand born artist and I go by the moniker The Son of Ruth. I'm a self taught artist with a passion for telling stories through the medium of illustration and graphic design. I begin my career in art in 2017 with a focus on digital painting and glass painting. My work is inspired by the process of grief and the way it affects life, the idea that we are constantly grieving versions of ourselves that we no longer are. Divinity and mortality are concepts I try to capture in my work. I hope to be able to reach the wounded, the healed and show that there's beauty in the ugliest part of life.
