Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Marina Matriculated from the Deutsche Schule zu Johannesburg before obtaining her Diploma in Ceramic Design from the Technikon of the Witwatersrand.
Early on in her professional career, she established her own company that focused on ceramic design. This branch of her work continues to thrive today and has provided her with one of many creative channels. For a decade she worked as a freelance Art Director for some of the top-rated photographers in Johannesburg; including art directing and producing magazine and billboard advertisements.
