Mitchell Milton Gatsi
Mitchell Milton Gatsi (b.1992, Zambia) grew up in Oxford, England and Harare, Zimbabwe. After moving countries repeatedly, he finally settled in Windhoek Namibia. In 2010, he enrolled at the College of the Arts in Windhoek - majoring in a ceramic clay-sculpting diploma course - graduating in 2014. He decided to further his clay sculpting studies and so remained at the College of the Arts Clay Studio where he became a studio assistant. Since 2018 Mitchell is teaching practical ceramics in the Visual arts department of the University of Namibia. Another passion of his is comic illustration, something which is fast becoming a successful career. In His words “I aim to grow my artistic skills in clay sculpting, comic illustrating and mural painting so that I can be able to pass the creativity culture down to an ART motivated youth of tomorrow.” Another passion of his is comic illustration, something which is fast becoming a successful career.
