Colors of Migration is a contemplative mixed-media painting capturing the fleeting nature of human connection and the silent choreography of urban life. Against a muted, cityscape backdrop, three figures — one formed from rust, the others in saturated tones of blue and green — move forward, seemingly unaware of each other’s presence.
By combining natural rust on steel with oil paint, this artwork explores themes of migration, memory, anonymity, and the passage of time. The organic decay of the rust contrasts with the solid, moving figures, suggesting the tension between permanence and transience in modern existence.
The round oak frame enhances the cyclical nature of the narrative, inviting viewers to consider how we move through spaces — together yet apart. Featuring figurative abstraction, urban storytelling, and richly layered visual metaphors.
