Chloë Reid is an artist from Johannesburg. She is interested in everyday sociology and the relationship between reading, writing and artistic practice.
She holds a BFA from the Michaelis School of Fine Art and an MFA from The Glasgow School of Art and was awarded a year-long fellowship at the Glasgow Sculpture Studios in 2018. She had two solo exhibitions with gallery aop in 2013 and 2015 respectively, before moving to Scotland to further her studies and conduct research into artist-run, independent models for exhibition.
She has exhibited and curated locally and internationally and produced two collections of very short stories. She now lives in Johannesburg and recently established gallery, gallery, whose aim is to promote collaboration and exchange between artists and curators in South Africa.
