Boitumelo Makousu (b.1997, Potchefstroom in North West Province) is currently based in Johannesburg.

She is an Administrator, Project Manager, Writer, and Independent Curator.

Her cultural work is focused in deep research and practice of the interconnectedness of the Cultural and Creative industries (CCI’s) of which includes exhibition-making using cultural, heritage & creative sites & sustainable development of Cultural, Art and Heritage tourism, museums and archival practices. 

She holds her BA Honours in Tourism Management (2022, NWU) and further obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Archives and Records Management (2021, UNISA), and BA in Cultural & Heritage Tourism Management (2019, NWU).

Makousu has previously worked with NWU Gallery, Javett-UP Art Centre, Latitudes Online, Jomba! Contemporary Dance Experience, Ms Simone, Creative Feel, Art Times, Kano Creative Agency, Keep The Dream Arts, and The Bag Factory Artist’s Studios.
