Tamara Osso
Tamara Osso worked as a professional ballet and contemporary dancer before pursuing an academic career as a visual artist. She performed and toured with numerous companies, both locally and internationally. In 2014, she completed her MAFA degree (with distinction) at WITS University in Johannesburg. Osso's work and research involves grappling with the connection between the immediacy of performance and the physicality of painting. Concerned with the impact of technology on space and time, her work seeks to suspend moments of interaction which attempt to retain a sense of personal, physical intimacy.
"I enjoy how moments of interaction can be suspended/extended/revisited/. All because touch, presence and personal, physical intimacy are valuable." - Osso
