Banana Club at RMB Latitudes Art Fair 2025

In this series of intimate miniature oil paintings, Katlego C.L. Twala examines the foundational relationship between a mother and her son within the context of a contemporary Botswana household. 

Rendered in classical realism and guided by the stillness of photography, each work captures a moment suspended in time—delicate, observational, and deeply personal. Developed during her time with the Banana Club Artist Fund residency, this work invites viewers to consider how memory, upbringing, and family structure shape the inner lives of Black men.
