International Galleries Section Presents Botswana Focus
The Botswana exhibition for the International Gallery Platform at RMB Latitudes sits at the heart of RMB’s broader African focus and Latitude's commitment to fostering meaningful engagement on the continent. By focusing on one locale, a deep exploration of a nation's cultural practice and artistic ecosystem can be explored. Furthermore, we see that the platform can conceptually wrestle with the notion of national borders and the pedagogies which emerge, in relation to personal histories and narratives in Botswana, South Africa and beyond.
Participating artists, curators, cultural practitioners and collectives will present as a holistic project, weaving layers between their independent interests & a collective story. Through this collaborative structure of engagement, the International Galleries Platform: Botswana Focus seeks to present an exhibition which scopes the depth and nuances of Botswana's arts landscape.
