WORLDART | The Brides and Grooms by Boyce Magandela

WORLDART is pleased to present “The Brides and Grooms” a solo exhibition by WORLDART10 competition winner Boyce Magandela, opening Thursday during Cape Town’s monthly First Thursdays event, which takes place on the first Thursday of every month.

Magandela stood out in the WORLDART10 competition for the clarity of his visual language and the strength of his technical grounding. His work demonstrates a confident command of line and material, with figures that carry emotional weight through restraint rather than excess. His training in drawing is evident, resulting in works that feel considered without being overworked.

This focused solo presentation highlights the conviction of his practice and the assured direction of his evolving body of work.

First Thursdays provides the ideal context for the exhibition. The extended hours invite both seasoned collectors and first-time visitors to engage with the work in a relaxed, accessible setting. It is an opportunity to encounter new work and experience the gallery after hours in the heart of Cape Town’s cultural district.
