In heavens arms

The Theme of my work is in a landscape of kagiso, in my art making I use juxtaposition to indicate important factors hence at times the composition is different from reality and use hybrid form in which am combining Birds with human figure and objects to tackle the issue am dealing with. My Art making is inspired by the experience I have met during my life since the early age, the experience of losing a mother in a very young age has shaped my life and artwork,The struggles of my Grandmother and how we survived only with her pension money.

My Artwork is about Grief of a mother, the struggles of getting proper medical attention ,the freedom to fly away to escape the challenges we currently facing in the townships and the critical conditions of the environment, how the people are affecting it and poverty.I use material like a bird feather to represent a Bird and a Can to represent a shack, Electric Pilone to indicate load reduction and a burning tires to indicate poverty as the people use tires to make fire to warm themselves. I use old traditional drawing, using line and cross hatching and photography.
