An Abstract Acrylic painting with handwork in Caran d'Ache crayon and pencil. Drawing inspiration from the shady moist mountain side of Cape Town. I love to watch the way light moves in these dense green spaces with my paintbrush and then distort the memory of the spaces with handwork, creating further details. These imaginary botanical scenes are where I feel most inspired lately. There is a freedom in being able to imagine something else in your mind.
