This work was inspired by my personal sense of loss of belonging. I utilise broken pattern as a way to visually explore instability, uncertainty and the ongoing process of finding a place to "belong". By focusing on painting itself, where "loss" is inherently part of the painting process, this painting highlights the importance of process and time.
