Gwen Chen (b. 1998) is a film photographer currently based in Singapore. Chen studied at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, where she soon discovered the magic of film at a second-hand camera shop in Edinburgh, making her first investment of 19 pounds. Chen’s approach to photography is largely shaped by her overseas travels and connections with people, with works inspired by recent trips to Japan and Hong Kong. She is most faithful to her Pentax P30, which has truly “allowed her to love the medium even more.” \n
