Stilll life with Tulips

This still life is based on a photograph taken by the artist at a friend's house. The objects that appear here are also resentin some of the other still lifes on this exhibition, taken at a different time, archived by the artist. Although at first glance reminiscent of the phenomenon of the cabinet of curiosities, the objects become shrines to existence, evidence of objects as mute witnesses to events that fall outside the frame.
