Black doll

This painting is based on a photogrpah taken by the artist of objects displayed in a friend's house. The objects and the photogrpahs against the wall were all in shades of black and white. The painting therefore portrays the actual colours captured by the camera. Meaning is open-ended. However, the black and white references documentary photography, the doll and the photographs that the viewer can not quite clearly see, arguably enabling layers of meaning.
