A group exhibition featuring ten current studio artists and resident lithographic studio LL Editions. The exhibition launches a year of celebrations marking 35 years of creating space and providing development opportunities for artists, curators, and writers at every stage of their careers in the culturally significant hubs of Fordsburg and Newtown. Maungo, curated by Ntshadi Mofokeng, captures in a capsule the vivacity and creative courage of this community.
The featured artists are: Gail Behrmann, Erla S. Haraldsdóttir, Sharlene Khan, David Koloane, Candice Kramer, LL Editions, Kagiso Pat Mautloa, Tshepiso Moropa, Richard 'Specs' Ndimande, Levy Pooe and Joe Turpin.
