SouthSeen

SouthSeen Presents an Exhibtion
SouthSeen, a bold cultural force reshaping how the Global South is seen and celebrated, will open on Friday, 22 August 2025, at Belfius Bank, Brussels. The exhibition brings together diverse contemporary works by both emerging and established South African artists, offering European collectors and art lovers a rare opportunity to engage with pieces of exceptional quality, cultural depth, and artistic significance.
Curated with dignity and intent, SouthSeen bridges South African artists with European audiences through art that is technically strong, story-rich, and rooted in cultural relevance. From painting and sculpture to photography, each work offers a fresh perspective on how the Global South is seen, and how it sees itself. While only a select number of works have been selected for the opening, additional pieces and artists will join the exhibition in Belgium over the coming months.
Whether you’re a seasoned collector, a curious newcomer, or a supporter of contemporary African art, SouthSeen invites you to experience work that reflects the vibrancy, innovation, and storytelling power of South Africa’s creative community.
