About the series Hot Brain:
Shannon describes the series as segways in photo sequences that displayed an internal kind of explosion in his mind, as his brain reconciles the past and present. The experimental approach to film mirrors the artist's memory recall process, including the way that he conveys personal memories and accounts to his inner circle. As such, the term "hot brain" emerged in his vocabulary, which can be seen in the highly saturated and vivid colour palette of the chemical reactions in the film itself.
