'A Time To Hold' captures the powerfully symbolic representations of the archetypal and actual mother and creator. The artist allows the expectant mothers in her painting to determine the meaning of holding and being held, of origins and beginnings in the body and in spirit.
She depicts her muses as free of the internal and external trappings of life's conformities but also as equipped and prepared to be naked to the world an thereby vulnerable, honest and open to new expressions of self.
