The confrontation between the bull-man and the cock-man is symbolic of the clashes of power between us as human being, between political economies, of egos and the inner drive to usurp and overpower the other. The artist explores what we are willing to do to attain the upper hand and the 'cock-and-bull' stories we tell to do so. In the work the artist makes the shadow the accounted for observer and mediator who allows us as viewers to question the need for power plays and the struggle to manipulate, the quest to win.
