SHARING THE POND

“Sharing the Pond” highlights a vibrant and beautiful water vista. A woman in a small boat on the surface is oblivious to and co-exists with a sea creature lurking in the waters below.

Sampson has chosen the painterly printmaking technique, Monotype for its intrinsic sense of motion and unpredictability. “I aim to create a sea of vibrant inks which flow into one another, settle before printing and ultimately create exciting, unexpected results”. Sampson’s Monotype compositions capture the innate complexities of womanhood and the environment, translating them into the visual realm.
