Scarabaeus Satyrus Series These monotypes trace a journey from darkness toward light — from abstraction to emergence. Each work begins in gestural uncertainty, where form gradually reveals itself through erasure and 'painting with light'. The subject matter is the Scarabaeus Satyrus - a dung beetle that orients itself with the stars - becomes a quiet guide through this process, echoed by the ancient Sky Disk of Nebra, humanity’s first known representation of the night sky.
